Acres of Diamonds: What are you sitting on?

I recently read a book per recommendation from a friend called Acres of Diamonds by Russell Herman Conwell. The book begins with the writer telling the story of a farmer, who after talking to a priest, is dead set on finding acres of diamonds. See, the priest taught him the value of diamonds. He said, "one diamond the size of his thumb could purchase the county, a mine of diamonds could set his children on thrones". He ultimately sold his property to fund his expedition, only to never discover the mines, and die sick and penniless. When the priest returned to the farm to visit his successor, it was discovered during the visit that there were diamonds in the garden! Not just in the garden but acres of them! Had he started on his own property, instead of exhausting his resources on an alternate journey, he wouldn't have died alone and broken.
What are you sitting on? What's in you? What are you willing to invest to discover the "acres of diamonds" within you? I found that prayer and meditation is a great place to start! Starting my day before anyone in the house wakes up (6am for me), allows me to go into my figurative garden for time of introspection and perception with The Gardener. This is a wonderful first investment in discovering what you're sitting on!
